Read the books of The World Project. From The Dreamer (Saga), where Jerry Banks first goes on the adventure across the sky, to The Gold Robot's Memory, the prologue that starts it all.
The World Project is packed with cool stuff, and it's all here on the website. Meet characters like Travis the Sheep and journey to places in Caelum, such as the village of Redleaf.
Though it's not completed, I'm planning for The Official Caelum Blog to have a huge library of content, whether that's lore from the series or previous progress updates that I've achieved.
Ever find yourself in need of a nice break from the responsibilities of real life? Are you constantly feeling heavy in soul because there's so many bad things in the world? Well, maybe this series can help you, because Hans Avery set out to fix exactly that.
Way back in 1990, Hans Avery, a visionary scientist, created a utopia through lucid dreaming—a world of floating islands and peaceful villages, shielded from Earth's horrors. But when ordinary middl-schooler Jerry Banks accidentally breaches this Dream World, his knowledge of war and evil could shatter the fragile peace.
If the dream-people learn of these evil concepts from Earth, it could ignite a wildfire of corruption, shattering the paradise forever. So the creators have to race to protect their utopia as Jerry and his friends obliviously stir rebellion and outside forces seek control. Will this perfect world survive, or will reality come crashing in?
The World Project is filled with characters, and each of them are unique and chock-full of personality. Through the course of the series, they must learn to work together despite their differences and overcome multiple epic challenges.
Jerry Banks is a wimp. He finds himself worrying and analyzing situations endlessly, and he can't seem to find a way out.
Amanda Lundell is from the village Redleaf. She's lived her whole life there as a daughter to George the Blacksmith.
Cole lives with a passion. There's nothing this kid likes better than awesome activities, laughing with a friend, or running outside.
Bobby wants to stay in control, and so far he has been. As long as he stays calm and stays popular, everything will be okay.
Travis is a talking sheep: always full of joy as he bounds across the hills of Caelum. With no bad things happening, life's all sunshine!
Jog Logan, known as The Dreamer of the World Project, is very polite, kind, and extremely determined to keep the paradise peaceful.
Rydall is a dream-person, but he's seen quite a bit of Caelum during his travels as a sailor. Even some places that aren't so beautiful.
Hans Avery, The Founder of the World Project, is a proud yet humble gentleman with wild ambitions to drive him forward.
Silh is one member out of four golden guardian robots which Jog Logan created to help him in his quest for peace.
No one knows who she is. During her quests around Caelum, she picked up the nickname "The Goggled Mechanic."
In every World Project Newsletter, a new character spotlight is shown, revealing tons of information, images, and facts about them. It'd be awesome to have you on the team.
And as a bonus, at the end of every email, you get to choose who you'd like to see next. Members of Jerry's team, the WPI, or anything in between . . . it's your choice!
This is what the series is famous for. From the jubilant wooden village of Redleaf to the windy sands of Solaris, you can be sure to find yourself swept up in the same awe the characters feel as they stumble upon these wonders.
In the Third Level of Somnium (The World Project's Dream World) Jog Logan and many of the other lucid dreamers and executives have worked hard to make Caelum breathtaking, majestic, and awe-inspiring. It's unique in the fact that it's aimed to those who like travel, adventure, and the wild beauty of nature.
Civilizations build on top of the huge range of sky islands here: From the futuristic cities to the west to small wooden cottages. Trade flourishes through the huge airships and ziplines.
Enjoy the wonders the village has to offer: the sprawling wood bridges, epic Annual Sword Tournaments, and bustling marketplaces.
Dalk is a huge, dark city to the west. It has wide glass walkways, huge indoor malls, and enormous cleaner-robots. It's captain and chairman is none other than Lord Huvelon.
The world of Caelum is divided into five main islands. The Central Island is where the big villages and ports are: Trikavose, Owltree, Brekenridge, and others. The South Island, just beneath it, is where Redleaf, Fihose, and the jagged mountains are.
The Eastern Island has enormous forests, with Rhidirion inside them. The West Islands are where the futuristic cities reside: Axus and Dalk. The Northern Island is probably the most uncharted: many people haven't yet explored the vast ruins up there.
Explore the hills of the South: with a backpack and a good stick, you can travel anyway you wish to go, passing tribes of sheep as you walk!
The lands of Fihose are essential for feeding nearly all Caelum. The village carries out huge farming operations, producing tons of surplus every year.
Most zeppelins flying around the world of Caelum are merchant ships, forces of power that travel great distances. You can hitch a ride for ten gold coins!
Trikavose, a darkwood village, generates vast amounts of electricity with its enormous water wheels, some of which is sold to other neighboring villages.
There are legends that 2,000 years ago, a disaster struck, leaving behind enormous stone ruins scattered all across Caelum. No one knows what happened, though.
The Flats are flat sky islands, famous for enormous waterfalls. Zeppelin-cities also float between them: huge balloons that move around, carrying whole villages.
The journey up the Long Road is a massive undertaking, but dedicated traders know they'll get good business with the locals living in the huge trees that stretch thousands of feet tall.
Far to the west are enormous futuristic cities. In Axus, you can find sprawling white streets, incredible architecture, and the famous Swimming World.
Few venture through the Mountains of the South. With its snowy temperatures and enormous cliffs, only the hardy and brave are able to travel through.
The books are going to come out soon, and I'm very excited to present them. Because in every book, the characters dive into unexplored places and wonders scattered around Jog's Dream World that no one has ever seen before.
From Jerry and Travis exploring Redleaf to Bobby and Cole venturing through the Jagged Mountains, you'll see through their eyes these unique locations. The awesomeness of character, world, and story combine in the books that are coming out soon.
